Can I search for keywords that are not on the list?Of course! The list is just so you don't have to type out the same keywords over and over. It is based on your previous (successful) searches and, those of other iCrave users. The list will grow and become more useful the more you use iCrave.
Why doesn't iCrave find my location automatically?
Each time you open iCrave, the map will snap to your location once. After that, you can use the button on the bottom left of the screen to either jump to your current location or search for another location by typing a street address, zip code, or cross-streets. These locations are saved so you don't have to keep re-typing them. You can change this option to have iCrave always follow your location by turning on "Lock map to current location" in the settings page.
How do I get to the settings page?
You get to the settings page by tapping the small button with an "i" on it.
Why can't I zoom farther in or out?
Currently the distance search is limited to allow for better performance and faster searches. The default setting is to automatically optimize the search area on the map so you get fast results. You can change this setting if you want to control the zoom manually. Remember you can always scroll the map a little and search again for the same keywords by tapping the search button on the bottom right of the main screen. If you search in best-of mode you will be able to zoom out farther and search a wider area for items that have already been rated.

Can you add restaurant XYZ?
We certainly can! Please send us a link to the restaurant's web page or - better - email us a text-readable copy of the restaurant's menu(i.e.- not a scanned image), along with restaurant name, address, and phone number, and we will add it as soon as we can.
You can send us the basics from within the app by tapping the add button on the search results page. You can also use this button to request new features to be included in future versions of iCrave, or just to tell us how great we are.
I found a typo/ error/ nonexistent entity...
While that is technically not a question, it does bring up a point. We are working to improve accuracy as much as possible. Please flag anything that is out of date, wrong, or just looks weird. You can do this inside the app by tapping the flag button at the top right of the details screen. We review these flags daily and will get it fixed for you.
If you plan on going out of your way to try a dish you found on iCrave, please take advantage of the "call" button to call ahead for reservations or to make sure the place will be open when you plan to go. You can also use the Yelp feature to read reviews from Yelpers about the establishment in question.
